We're making the Change to Green

In a bid to do our bit to saving our environment, we have started implementing the following

• Moving from Conventional Light bulbs to Energy Efficient Bulbs by end 2009. 60% done
• Composting of all garden material and kitchen waste
• Worm farm created to produce vermi liquid
• Vegetable garden created to produce healthy organic vegetables for our kitchen
• Cleaning Products used to Wash all Linen, General purpose cleaners have been replaced with an Organic Orange product which is safe for staff and the environment
• We have a recycling programme in place to, separate glass, plastic and paper for recycling
• Solar lighting is used to light paths in the garden
• All non useable items like old linen, furniture is donated to local charities

Our Future Plans are to change to solar water heaters for our geysers and to also offer guests the opportunity to offset their carbon footprint in getting to us. Rain water tanks to be fitted to collect more water for use in washing machines and waste water to be used for irrigation of the garden.
