Welcome to Sedgefield on Sea ... a village with its stunning weather conditions. We have long sunny days and bright clear nights. Warm sunny winters and hot summers make this village a growing tourist attraction and many come back to make it their permanent residence. The town is right in the middle of the Garden Route with Tsitsikamma being a ninety-minute drive to the east and Mossel Bay the same drive westwards.
There are many great activities to do in this area, namely:

- Make a Mosaic at Masithandane
- Take a drive to Explore the vast landscape of this area, and maybe spot a Whale

We have a number of magnificent beaches around the village :
- The main beach, is where Swartvlei lake meets the ocean it's very popular for families.
- Myoli and Cola beach join to give endless white sand where one can walk safely and admire the beauty and tranquillity.
- Swartvlei beach offers horseback access and leads to Gericke's Point which is accessible at low tide and is excellent for snorkelling and exploring the tidal pools.
- Or Explore Plat Bank with it's fossilized sand dunes
To the east of the town is Groenvlei - a fresh water lake famous for its bass fishing and this forms part of the Goukamma Nature Reserve with its abundance of bird life. So make Sedgefield on Sea your base and explore the beautiful Garden Route.
